He was only supposed to eliminate the last place person (Hassenrik), not the last two places. Congratulations to Jim, Paul and Matt for finishing 1st, 2nd and 10th in the ffgtour regular season tournament! Please confirm your home addresses with me via an e-mail.
The final 10 are in with a small change in the rules (the 10th place person gets $100,000, not $0). After each of the three playoff tournaments, the last place ffg'er that week will be eliminated with the finals being the Tour Championship from September 25th to September 28th. Thank you to all that played this year, continued good luck to those still in the playoff and hopefully we'll see you all (and many more) for next year's ffgtour!

Final Week Notes
Congratulations to Tod Perry for not only winning the PGA Championship, but jumping up to 8th in the final top 10! We have one last week for all of those out of the top 10 to secure a spot in the 4 tournament playoff that begins August 21st. The top 2 spots after this weekend and the 10th place finisher will win some earnings and the top 2 after the four weekend playoff will win the rest of this year's ffg tournament entry fees. Ninteen of the 22 ffger's still have a chance to get into the top 10 this weekend - so as always, continued good luck and thanks to all that played this year!!!!

End of Season Reminders
1. Only two more tournaments left until the field is cut to just the top 10 players.
2. The top 10 will then have their earnings reset from $1,000,000 to the first place ffg'er to $0 for the 10th place finisher.
3. Same rules apply for picking your golfers in the playoffs - only those golfers you have not picked during the regular season are eligible to be picked in the playoffs.
4. One ffg'er will be eliminated each week in the four-week playoff - and that will of course be the last place ffg'er after each week.
5. The 1st, 2nd and 10th place ffg'er after the Wyndham Championship (the last regular season tournament) will win some money (see payouts at the bottom of the blog).
6. The 1st and 2nd place finisher in the playoffs win some dinero.
7. Only $250,288 separate 10th and 16th place - so it's still a dogfight to make the playoffs!!

One More Day til First Event
Hello ffg'ers.
Tomorrow is day one of the Mercedes and we still need players and picks!! With the field looking like it will be less than last year, I'll update the end of year plans once the final field has been determined. We will definitely not go to only 16 players after week 34 and may not have a cut at all. Stay tuned. Our goal is 20 players and if we can get at least that many, the payouts will be the same as last year. Also, I've added a "tournament field" tab on the right side of the page for quick access to the announced (though not final) field for each week's event. I'll continue to update this blog with additional useful links throughout the year. Thanks again for participating and good luck!!!
