New Rules - 2008

1. $50 entry fee as opposed to the $25 from years past. 2. Payouts will be as follows: (for the $ examples, I'm assuming 40 people at $50 per person or, $2,000 total in the ffgtour pot) West Coast Swing - 5% (or $100) Summer Series - 5% (or $100) Each of the four majors - 10% each (or $200 each and $800 total) 1st Place Season Champ (after the 1st 33 tournaments*) - 15% (or $300) 2nd Place Season Champ (after the 1st 33 tournaments*) - 5% (or $100) 1st Place Cup Champ (after the 37 total tournaments*) - 20% (or $400) 2nd Place Cup Champ (after the 37 total tournaments*) - 10% (or $200) * Tournament #33 is Wyndham Championship 8/14 - 8/17 * Last Tournament (37) is Tour Championship 9/25 - 9/28 3. The two co-commissioners (myself and Brent Morrow) will send our picks by 8 p.m. the night before the start of the tournament via e-mail to a random ffgtour member each week. With picks not being due until 8 a.m. the morning of the tournament (in most cases), this should prevent any ideas Brent or I are using your picks to our advantage in making our own picks. All other rules are still in place as they were in 2007 with this site being updated asap each week and all of us together learning the ropes of the same format illustrated on a different type of website.

First Blog Post - ffg lives on!!

Hello FFG junkies. When the former commissioner informed me the tour was over due to (of all things) three women, I couldn't see me surviving a winter and spring of cold MI weekends with no reason to watch golf. Hence the birth of my first "blog". The e-mail address we'll be using this year to submit picks is (ffgtour@gmail.com) and this site will be where all information is updated. Stay tuned for a confirmation of rules, updates with new rules, the plan for this year's tour, payouts, participants and by all means tips from all of you as we transition from a professional, well-run ffgtour machine to a blog that when compared to the old website looks like Sergio Garcia playing Tiger on a Sunday...........UGLY!!! Hopefully as the 2008 ffgtour season goes on, so will the improvements in this site. I will now push "publish post" - let's hope this first post goes as planned.
